One of the most common questions expats ask is: “How much do I really need to live in the Philippines?”
The answer is — it depends! That’s why we created this thread for members to share their real-world monthly budgets. Whether you’re living on $500 or $5,000 a month, your experience helps others plan realistically.

Example Reply:
I’m in Dumaguete and spend about $1,100/month.
Rent: ₱18,000 for a small house
Food: ₱12,000 (eat out 2–3x a week)
Utilities/Internet: ₱4,000
Transport: ₱3,000 (motorbike and gas)
